I did some combing through our lovely battle records, and would like to propose that a lot of these old opponents (most of which are old plot challengers) be permanently released or be remembered for holidays. Some of these are even plot bosses that should be re-released with proper stats, but also allow for some re-release of old special loot, including weapons and scrolls.

OLD WEAPONS AND SCROLLS MUST BE ACHIEVEMENT-TIED TO MAINTAIN VALUE AND FAIRNESS. I understand there might be some apprehension to doing this, but this is the best way to bring old weapons back into circulation that isn't a stupid gacha box. Achievement-tying means they're going to be earned once by an account; in the future, more tiers can be added to redistribute another copy if needed.

Why should we get these old opponents permanently released or added to holidays? Because they're likely never coming back anyways (or don't fit any holidays), and some plot challengers like Slavam and Erdoo are permanently released in the default category. It would make sense to take old plot challengers and release them as default so new battlers have something to fight will they work on unlocking the Secret and CSC tabs.

For reference, the default tab has 48 opponents, while Secret has 97 opponents to potentially unlock, and CSC tab has 189 opponents to potentially unlock. I would like to make sure that newbie battlers have plenty of stuff to fight and grow their pet on while they work on unlocking Secret/CSC challengers. The default tab would be an estimated 192-195 (there's a few opponents I listed that might fit a holiday or are lacking data) if everybody here was added, which the CSC tab will quickly catch up to in no time anyways.

Now if staff wants to refresh the stats on some of these really ancient guys, then do so, or scale them down to the appropriate difficulty they fit best in. Some I think never were even released like Bonesy McBones. There's also 4 "gods" never released, though I'm aware there's lore conflict with that, but I'll list them anyways in case that has changed since (I'd throw them in the Super tab if they're gods).

Oh, I back this 100%! I would love the chance to fight the old plot and/or holiday challengers...especially now, since Haneul (main battle pet) is now T13, and I have two others who would be keen to fight too...maybe make it so you can only win the weapon with one pet....if we're worried about too many getting out...

But yes, please bring these guys back!

Would love for the old challengers to come back as many of us, including myself, have not fought them before.

It wasn't a battle drop, it was something given for cumulative damage dealt during the event, so even if all battle opponents were rereleased, this would STILL NOT BE AVAILABLE.

If there was a way to make it so you can only obtain a max of say 3 beanbags per account, that could be something. Maybe achievement tie it to the 5th win drop, since that’s available since the 10th would be taken by AU.

I just hate the antique shop being the go-to solution or gacha boxes. But I do acknowledge the armies are the main problem for why loot devalues so quickly. Usually things like gourmets/beanbags/plushies survive okay because once fed/added to the proper collection, they can’t be removed and resold.

To me, loot has not always been at the forefront of why I battle. I only value stat boosters weapons scrolls and books if loot dropped; EXP, however, is my pull.

But I think achievement-tying the non-weapon loot that were actually plot prizes from back then, at the 5th win, would suffice.

Unlike some battlers, I would actually love it if ALL weapons (even the ones I worked hard for or paid a fortune for) were as cheap as the ones in the NPC shops. It's easy enough to spend a fortune just leveling up pets -- no need to add insult to injury by the best weapons costing a fortune too. I have no problem with old loot getting re-released. Recycle Beast can always ask for stuff if there's too much floating around.

It's so easy to make money on Subeta without selling battle loot. And yes, I have some of the limited, you-had-to-be-the-top-in-a-tier for the only-ever-happened-once-event-to-get-this, weapons. I would love to see them re-released. I love using them and I'm all about sharing the joy. I don't care if they're given away by the hundreds! The re-release of some of the really great classics will only make people more excited about battling if they are actually accessible.

Battling should be about the time and effort you put into it. Not how much money you have, or how long you've been on the site. New users are the way sites grow and thrive. So let's encourage more people to battle. I think this is a great idea.

I mean, I earned an AU back in the day but I sold it. Now I want the weapon back in my armory or even for someone’s TC. I earned it before, I should be able to earn it again

I support this idea. I'm a late starter to battling even though I've been here over 20 years so it would be great to have opponents I didn't get to battle in the old days.

I think the unreleased god challengers would be great under the Super tab. How many players even know they are gods, could tweak them a bit and now they are just powerful like the Paramnesia. Those challengers feel like they are from a cancelled plot anyway.

It would be great to see more Easy and Medium old challengers with eggs. Help the casual battlers move through the lower tiers faster.

If for some reason this is too much free stuff, they could make a CS item Challengers of The Past or some such. Bundle all the challengers per event and let players unlock the event of their choice. People could buy multiples and unlock all the old events if they wanted to drop lots of CSC. Could put a limit on how long has to pass before an event's challengers get added, like with the antique shop.

Oh yes, any new Easy and Medium guys must give EGGS. We have an eggs crisis after all. I think how I'd swing the whole gods thing is just make it seem like they're "testing your worthiness", especially if they are put in the Super tab.

I agree with this even if the weapons are a bit more expensive than the ones in the NPC shops. New battlers will eventually reach a stage where they are stuck because better weapons aren't available anywhere such as the Trident of the Banished One. They will give up if higher tier battling is only for the elite who have been here since battling started.

Going on to eggs - medium and easy opponents must give eggs because they are very useful for new battlers.
